Story: Cahill crossing is a submerged road to get to Oenpelli, by crocodile infested waters.
When I was 10 years old we were on our way back home from Oenpelli, our car broke down in the middle of the Cahill Crossing, there were six people in the car water was filling the car. We seen two tourists fishing and called out for help but they ignored us. So we got out of the car, the water was up to my hips I had to help my two younger cousins by carrying them to the other side of them crossing. I was trying to help Dad push the car but it didn’t work, we continued to call for help. Then out of nowhere 10 of our county men appeared from the bushes helped us push the car across and saved the day.
